HANDAN AKARSU SCARABELLO
I am a trainer&facilitator, professional coach and EU project consultant with over 10 years of experience in the fields of education, social innovation, personal and institutional development and entrepreneurship.
As a trainer facilitator, I develop and implement effective and innovative training programs on personal and institutional development, soft skills, coaching and mentoring, and EU projects by using non formal, informal training approaches and interactionism.
As a professional coach I provide coaching and mentoring services mostly for executives and teams. I design the coaching process specifically based on the needs and goals of the individuals and teams and walk with them through the road while they achieve their goals. I utilize the framework of the Interactionist Model in addition to coaching approaches. During the process the coachee/s are the active parts who are in continuous interaction with the world; and their meeting with me as a professional coach has the peculiarity of generating new possibilities for the person/s or organizations based on their objectives.
As a EU project consultant I develop, project, connect, create and spread new ideas to satisfy social needs in a better way than current ways do by creating new relationships among people, organizations and communities with good vibes and professionalism at the local and international level. I support organizations to develop their project ideas, creating networks, preparing project applications, supervision during application process and project management and implementation phase.
I have always been curious and explore different roles, topics and cultures. Even in my games as a child I was a pilot, teacher, a business person, writer, painter and singer in the same day:) I spent most of my childhood and young times reading books about literally everything! When it came to choosing a career and a related education, it was not surprising for me to have many options in my mind and it was really difficult to choose among them since I was interested in psychology, engineering, language, literature, law, education and art:) and apparently I had almost same level of skills and knowledge in them. Somehow I ended up as a chemical engineer (mostly by direction of my teachers and society) and I loved it as well:) But during my education I also had a bachelor degree in Management and I have done a side branch in Public Relations; I also learned English and German during the same time. Then I had the same difficulties when it came to choosing a career after graduation. I worked in a consultancy agency, and a metal covering sector but they were not satisfying me after the job became routine after a few months. To settle me down I applied for a public job and I started working as a training expert in the Center of Labor and Social Security Training and Research. The job definition was quite wide and I had the luxury to choose the topic I wanted to become an expert. I chose occupational health and safety to be able to use my engineering skills and I have completed my master degree in Environmental and Technical Research on Work Accidents at the same time. After a while I started to be interested in the other fields of my organization, no surprise anymore:) And I received coaching training in 2017 to improve my competencies as a trainer. Guess what, I loved it too.
In my profession I aim to enhance, promote and create value on social inclusion; new skills, experiences, knowledge; equity, free expression, social innovation, environment, cultural change for people among organizations, institutions, communities, and society.
I have a Master’s degree in environmental and technical studies and a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and Business Administration. I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). I have effectively implemented over 1000 hours of training, over 500 hours of coaching sessions and 15 successful EU projects.
I have the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certificate, one of the most advanced coaching certificates accepted in the world.
